Carl C. Hug, Jr., MD, PhD, was the honored presenter of the 1999 Rovenstine Memorial Lecture. AnesthesiaWeb is proud to present an abridged video representation of Dr. Hug's momentous talk, entitled "Patient Values, Hippocrates, Science and Technology." We are indebted to Dr. Hug for his personal interest, guidance and hands-on involvement in AnesthesiaWeb's effort to provide our members with a concise video representation of this most important discourse on the inherent ethical responsibilities of anesthesiologists (as physicians) in the context of end-of-life issues (e.g., the frequent disparity between quantity of life and quality of life).
